Massachusetts Administrators of Special Education

The Massachusetts Administrators for Special Education (ASE) is the leading statewide non-profit association in Massachusetts dedicated to advocating, supporting and educating on all matters pertaining to special education administrators. Our mission is to empower those responsible for supporting students with disabilities across the continuum of services and programs ensuring that school districts fulfill their mandate to provide a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) to Massachusetts students with disabilities. ASE provides a supportive space for administrators to collaborate and learn from each other in a collegial setting. 

Council of Administrators of Special Education

The Council of Administrators of Special Education (CASE) is an international nonprofit professional organization for administrators who are responsible for the education of students with disabilities. As a division of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), CASE supports leaders at every stage of their careers—administrators, unit directors, supervisors, coordinators, and aspiring administrators—through high-quality professional learning, trusted resources, and a powerful national network.

CASE is committed to strengthening leadership capacity in special education by providing timely legal guidance, evidence-based practices, and opportunities for collaboration. Through conferences, academies, webinars, leadership institutes, publications, and advocacy efforts, CASE equips leaders with the knowledge, skills, and community needed to navigate complex systems and lead with confidence.

The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) is the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving the success of children and youth with disabilities and/or gifts and talents.

CEC advocates for appropriate governmental policies, sets professional standards, provides professional development, and helps professionals obtain conditions and resources necessary for effective professional practice. CEC is known as THE source for information, resources, and professional development for special educators.
